greeted in Tokyo by skies and streets full of torrential rain. I imagine every place in my mind as it would look soaked in golden sunlight, so now a place I’d imagine so many times over for decades looked like a new version of what my mind would show me. Jupes and I visited a temple nearby the first place we stayed, for the first time at 1am. we’d later visit in the daylight to see it in all its glory, but to experience the serene garden that stood strong amongst a city that grew around it while the fog of a rainy night filled in all the gaps the darkness left was a fashion of solace unlike anything we’d felt before. never for a moment did the honor of being in and experiencing such a place with the love of my life ever feel like anything less than that.
