I am guilty of filling in the gaps between what life is and what I want it to feel like (which is often a wide gap) with fantastical elements birthed from my emotional response to everything, like filling an empty darkness with small torches. but on this day, the fantasy did not disappoint, it felt like the two kilometer circuit ran a ring around a bubble that kept everything alive – every bit of raw passion, authenticity, and real human story that has been the driving force to my interest in these machines for all these years. it felt like, while some of the everything I’d wanted to see may never be seen again the same way, this is here and this is right now and I will forever latch on to every bit of it that can stay alive. this will live forever within me.
