sadly this was the beginning of one of my cameras unknowingly having a shutter issue that would persist through the remainder of our time in Japan. I discovered it when looking at the negatives once we came back home. it ruined me, it broke my heart for longer than most people may ever admit. it’s all an element of the romance of analog photography that I really enjoy, but an unfortunately painful element nonetheless. I’d lose more than half of my photos from the trip from this point on, all that’s left in those blank spaces in the negatives is the feeling I had, the love for what I photographed…now just a reminder to work towards returning.
